Late Anniversary
I'm "celebrating" late.  I joined LJ Dec 2007 so that I could comment on the moving, thoughtful, well written fics I was reading here.  Since then I've made some friends, read a whole lot of great fic (and a bit of not so great fic), found fic award sites, discovered more 'verses I've grown to love, betad for some wonderful writers, and generally had a great time.

Special thanks to those I seem to "talk to" the most:

[info]jans_intentions who was sexymermaid when I joined; who introduced me to Justin and Brian
[info]i_luv_trees and [info]jasonsnene who both let me read their fics before they post them
[info]lit_gal who introduced me to The Sentinel by doing a Buffy X-over
[info]pixel2817 who (among other things) pointed me at the fun that was Xander's Bar-room Tales; featuring every x-over 'verse you can think of (and 25 more)
[info]stillrose who writes long, tasty Spike/Xander AUs

In honor of my first anniversary I re-read the very first piece of fan fic I read (and the reason why I was completely taken by it from the start): Repossession by lazuli_cat.  It was even better the second time around!

Thanks to my whole flist.  You guys are the greatest.  You are supportive, share your fic, and bring a smile to my face on a daily basis!

I feel so lame that I am just now getting caught up with LJ Friends stuff and I owe feedback to so many people! If I could just figure out how to get 48 hours out of every day, I'd be all set!

I wanted to comment because I think that this is a cool idea to celebrate your LJ anniversary! I just missed mine on January 11. I started out in the Brokeback Mountain fandom and only discovered Queer as Folk when several of the ladies on BBM were talking about it. I became obsessed, changed fandoms (well, not completely) and the rest is history.

Anyway, happy belated anniversary! I'm glad you are on my f-list and I hope to get to know you more in 2008. Actually, one of my new years resolutions is to be more social on LJ - personal posts, birthday wishes, etc.
